Three Lisburn GC teams bid to progress
JUNIOR COWDY
Lisburn made a good start in the Junior Cowdy Cup at Mayo Bridge.
Alan Gilmore and Chris Warwick won their match four and two while Mark Jamieson and Barry McQuillan won on the 17th green. There were close finishes in the other two matches which resulted in Lisburn gaining a one hole advantage.

Hide AdThe Rossmore Cup team had an outstanding result against Armagh as David McDowell’s team won three matches.
Gary Brett and Gavin Hawkins won on the 16th green while both Neil Patterson & John Kelso and Brian Houston & Randal Kernaghan won their matches two and one.
Colin Jeffers and Robert Campbell won 17 to square their match. Colin’s tee shot to the final green finished 20 feet from the flag to ensure a half.
RONAN RAFFERTY
Johnny Scott, Adam Clarke, Connor Lyness, Dylan Leathem and Henry Thomas all played their part in a great victory over Spa in the Ronan Rafferty Trophy. They now meet Lurgan in the next round.

Hide AdThere was great disappointment for Lisburn in the Junior Cup qualifying at Rockmount.
After nine holes Lisburn were in a strong position. Jack Shellard led the Lisburn team with a round of 78. Stephen Leathem dropped eight strokes on the back nine for 82 while Chris McKnight and Stephen Shaw completed the scoring with rounds of 84. Lisburn’s total of 328 was one behind fourth qualifier Belvoir Park.
