Sisters grab medals in Northern Ireland championships
In the Female Cadet Kata section, Ballymena Rebecca Burns took joint Bronze and in Female Senior Kata section her older sister Laura Burns took a joint Bronze.
Chief Coach Dan Redmond said he was pleased with the performance of his members. This is their second outing at this level and he said they have learned much.

Hide AdSix Ballymena members are among nine CKA members preparing for their black belt examination on June 4.
The Ballymena members are: Nicola Lamont, Rebecca Burns, Laura Burns, Mark O’Connor, Andrew O’Neill and Gareth McKeown.
All nine applicants have been in an intensive training programme for the examination.
IAIN ABERNETHY SEMINAR
Sensei Iain Abernethy will coach at a seminar in Coleraine Leisure Centre on Saturday 5th June (1pm to 5pm). The seminar content will include kata applications with an emphasis or how this can be applied to a self defence situation. A limited number of places are still left on the seminar.
