Oh Danny’s the boy in the Winter League singles stakes
His scores were 30, 35, 30, 34, 31 and 37. It was a tremendous run and he deserves all our congratulations.
Eight other players managed to score 30 points or better on five occasions.

Hide AdThey were Peter Hillen (team 1), Dennis Lockhart (team 1), Merton McDowell (team 3), Bill McCandless (team 4), Graham Shannon (team 5), Johnny McKinstrey (team 5), Malcolm Russell (team 6) and Mel Hamill (team 7).
They all deserve a round of applause.
Double’s up for Philip
Philip Mallon became the only player in the Winter League to win two first place prizes in the individual awards.
He won the low section in the final week with 34 points (36-2).
Tom Mulholland was second with 33 points.
John Crothers won the middle section with 35 points and Danny O’Boyle was runner-up, also with 35 (37-2).
Sean McGreevey, the captain of the league winners, capped off what was a delightful day for him as he also won the high section with 35 points.
Graham Shannon was runner-up with 34 points.
