In recent years Co Armagh have reached the final of this competition twice so a close match was expected.
Banbridge did not get everything their own way and they travel to Co Armagh with a slender three hole lead. PJ reckons the best form of defence is attack and don’t be too surprised if Banbridge pull this one out of the bag.

Hide AdSenior Cowdy Cup: Banbridge played Castleblaney Golf Club in the second round of the Senior Cowdy Cup last week in the first leg at home.
The Castleblaney men put up a stiff opposition but Banbridge had winners in Colin Wilton, Rory Madeley, Junior Burns, Johnny Ward, Luke Woods, Neil Clydesdale and Trevor Woods.
The final score at Banbridge was Banbridge 24.5 Castleblaney 7.5. Banbridge now travel to the fantastic Concra Wood golf course, looking for eight points to progress to the next round. This will be one of the most enjoyable games of golf these players will play all year and team captain Kenny Stevenson should be quietly confident of a good result.
Barton Shield: Banbridge have a very strong side in this prestigious competition.

Hide AdRory Leonard, Jim Carville, Conor Doran and Colin Wilton cruised through the first two rounds at Lurgan last week, defeating Edenmore by eight holes and Tandragee by two holes.
In round three they will face Ardglass Golf Club in their quest to repeat the All Ireland winning performance of 2003.
