New Zealand school to play Academy and Dromore High
Even the rugby teams at Dromore High School and Banbridge Academy will get to play a part in theinternational flair this week as they welcome a visit from touring New Zealand school Wairoa College this week.
To coincide with the spectacle of the World Cup in England and Wales, the school from Down Under are visiting Northern Ireland as part of their three-week long tour of the United Kingdom and France.

Hide AdThe touring lads are staying with Dromore High School pupils from Tuesday afternoon to Friday morning and will be playing an Under 16 match against Dromore High School U16s on Wednesday evening at Dromore RFC (kick-off 7pm). They will then play against Banbridge Academy on Thursday afternoon in an Under 18 game with a 4pm kick-off.
Whilst staying in Northern Ireland, they will take in tours of the Titanic Museum, Ulster’s Kingspan Ravenhill Stadium and the Nevin Spence centre.
“We would encourage everyone to come up and watch the game and create a great atmosphere for the matches,” said Dromore High School rugby coach Gareth Bronte.
