Irwin, from Carrick, was back on the MX2 Heads and all Threads Suzuki for the final round and finished the season in fifth in the series after a DNF in race one after a crash while challenging for seventh.
In race two he made the holeshot but a massive crash on the opening lap put him last although he fought back to 12th at the flag. A steady ride to fifth in his third race completed the day.

On a positive note, he’s off to Japan to ride the works 250 Suzuki in the final round of the Japanese championship.
“It will be a first for me and I am really looking forward to the challenge. I can’t speak a word of Japanese, so that should be interesting. But it is a great opportunity and I can’t wait.”
