Carrick’s Graeme Irwin has moved on to the Heads and all Threads MX1 Suzuki for the rest of the season and it paid off at Hawkstone with him taking a win and two seconds to finish second overall.
“I had a great race with Christian Watley on Saturday. I kept the pressure on him and he went down leaving me to take the win,” Irwin said.
“In my two races on Sunday I crashed in the first and had to work hard to get second and in the last race I gave it the beans but it wasn’t enough to beat Christian. I’m happy with second overall, and it proved that it was a good move to race in MX1,” he added.
