Megan reaches Irish National Under 15 semi final last weekend

Banbridge Academy pupil Megan Ferguson and Alex Chan-Taylor (Clounagh Junior High) reached the semi-final of the Girls Doubles in the Irish National Under 15 Championships at the National Badminton Centre at the weekend.
In the quarter-final they knocked out Kerry Fallon and Megan McLoughlin in a close three set match 21-17 in the decider only to go out of the competition to the top seeds and eventual champions Clodagh Dunne and Beth Stephenson 21-5 21-6.
In the Girls Singles Alex had to retire in Round 1 having pulled a hamstring against Niamh Gannon while Megan lost 21-11 21-12 to Sarah Pingree, who was knocked out by the eventual champion Clodagh Dunne.
