Ireland’s call for Elle

This continued with the recent announcement that Elle Kirgan has been selected for the Irish Under-16 hockey squad following trials which took place in November.
Club President Liz Lamont commented: “Ballymoney are again back on the representative honours list and we are delighted for Elle who along with Anna Nawn were selected to represent Ulster at the Under-16 Interpros series in Dublin back in October.

Hide Ad“Elle is just 15 years old and she has been with our club for the last 10yrs. She joined the mini club and has progressed right through to the senior club this season.”

Irish Coach Alison McNeill commented: “We would like to thank all the players for their commitment and effort. The Trials were extremely competitive and we and are looking forward to working with the selected squad over the next few months.”
Elle follows in the footsteps of players like Lyndsey McVicker, Angela Platt, Sammy-Jo Greer, Bridget Cleland and Katie Mullan toi name but a few, who have played for Ireland.
