Wilson secures his first ever Captain’s prize
Second was George Baldrick (19) after he finished with 38 points and Richard Burton (15) was third after a BOT finish when he scored 38 points.
Ernie Heywood (2) with 34 points won the gross section and visitor was won by Frank McClintock (10) after he scored 34 points.

Hide AdThe nine went to Brendan Duffy (13) after he scored 21 points and Paul Glackin (13) with 21 points won the back nine after a BOT finish.
The Ladies section went to Brenda Chauhan (18) after she scored 37 points, Anne McGoldrick (29) with 35 points was second and Veronica Burke (24) with 34 points was third.
Sunday’s Open Stableford competition was claimed by Maurice Quigg (17) after he scored 39 points; second after a BOT finish was Stephen McKeegan (4) scored 38 points and best gross winner was Lester Moore (4) 38 points.
The Weekly Thursday Open at City of Derry was sponsored this week by Heywood and Robinson (Handmade Kitchens) and the winner Tommy McBride (5), of this prestigious competition produced a superb two under par gross score for his 43 points.

Hide AdModestly, Tommy acknowledged that it was probably the round of his life.
Stephen Doherty (12) took second place with a very well compiled 42 points and third on a break of tie went to Ali Duncan (16) on 40 points.
Lee McClelland (6) finished fourth also on 40 points. Billy Hutchman (12) from Faughan Valley was the best visitor on 38 points.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Heywood and Robinson two nines prizes were on offer and these were won by Bert Whoriskey (17) on the front nine with 22 points and a huge 25 points on the back nine was good enough and absolutely no coincidence that the winner was Trevor Heywood (17).

Hide AdMeanwhile members of North-West Golf Club should note that the Extraordinary General Meeting will take place next Tuesday, July 7th, at 8pm sharp in the Clubhouse.
Only members of the Lisfannon club will be eligible to attend this meeting. Meanwhile, the weekly Thursday Open Stableford competition takes place tomorrow.
This weekend’s fixtures at Lisfannon include a Confined Singles versus Par competionon Saturday with an Open Stableford off the white tees on Sunday, July 5th.
Date for the diary - on Saturday week, July 11th, North-West will host a special fundraising team classic in aid of the Naionra Buncranncha and the Donegal Cancer Bus.
The teams of four event is for both ladies and gents, teams of four, full handicaps ladies and gents.
