Penney claims victory at Galgorm Castle
Penney came home par, birdie to win by one point from Smith (bogey, par), Martin (birdie, double bogey) and Galloway who finished with two pars who finished equal and with a better last three Galloway took second place.
In Division 2 after four Clifford Irvine (8) was two points ahead of Alan Knox (7) and Sam Graham (9).

Hide AdOver the closing two holes Irvine held on to his one point lead from new challenger Knox to win. Knox came with a late run of two pars to snatch second place a point ahead of Graham.
John Fitzgerald (11) was two points ahead of Ivan Graham (10) after four in Division 3.
Two points behind Graham came a trio of players - Harkness McCaughan (9), James Rea (11) and Alex Keenan (13) who were in turn a further point ahead of James Campbell (11) (‘ding’ at four), Russell McClure (13) and Hugh Mussen (11).
The field closed up and after the Treasury only two points separated the eight golfers. Fitzgerald was joined in the lead by McCaughan.

Hide AdMcCaughan continued his momentum with bogey, par over the closing two holes to win by a point from Campbell (bogey, par).
The finish might have been different but for ‘dings’ by McClure and Fitzgerald at the last. Stephen McAuley won the Gross.

The back nine competition was won by Steve Henry (13) by two shots from Brian McFall on a better last six from Colin Orr and Gary Boyd.
