Lisnagarvey Thirds 1
With Garvey Firsts having no league game last Saturday, the inter club match between the Seconds and the Thirds took pride of place at Comber Road.
The match turned out to be a one sided affair with the Seconds dominating almost the entire 70 minutes.

Within a few minutes Greg Thompson had added to the Second’s tally with a well executed penalty corner.
Try as they would, the Thirds could not penetrate the Seconds defence and after 27 minutes Scott McCabe scored a neat goal to give the Seconds a well deserved 3-0 lead at the half time interval.
The Thirds led by Richard McConkey made a spirited start to the second half and created a number of half chances but after a further 10 minutes, the Seconds extended their lead to 4-0 when skipper Philip Stirling eased the ball past keeper Brazil following a cross from the right.

After Glen Halliday had slotted a consolation goal for the Thirds, Philip Stirling completed a fine goal scoring afternoon with two more strikes.
This took his personal tally to four and his teams to eight and an emphatic win which should take the Seconds closer to the top of Junior 1.
Apart from the four goal contribution from captain Stiring, Ryan Getty and Mark Raphael proved to be the stars for the well oiled Seconds.
