Garvey make certain of survival with a 13 shots home win over Bangor
They appeared to be safe before this game, but could have lost out mathematically and this fine win makes it a certainty that they remain in the top flight next season.
Bangor had still been clinging to hopes of overhauling Whitehead for the title, but this defeat, coupled with Whitehead adding five points to their tally ends those hopes, giving Garvey a little more satisfaction that they “killed two birds with one stone” so to speak.
