VIDEO: Ferguson pleased with cup progress
Ballymena United manager Glenn Ferguson was pleased as the Sky Blues booked their place in the third round of the WASP Solutions League Cup, after beating Newington YC 3-0.
“In games like this, the most important thing is simply getting through,” said Ferguson, after goals from Tony Kane, Darren Boyce and Matthew Tipton took United past the challenge of the Championship Two side.
The only downside were a number of injuries to Ballymena players.
