Keeper Ferry nets monthly award
Since his move to Coleraine the net-minder kept two clean-sheets and produced numerous saves at crucial points in games last month.
“It was good that Oran put his faith in me. I don’t think he has seen me play too many times but he had confidence in me to say I would play between now and the end of the season,” said Ferry.

“I don’t get too excited about keeping a few clean sheets in the month because that is why I’m there but I’m delighted to have helped the team climb the table a bit.
“Although Davy McDaid, Joe McNeill and me all signed, Stephen Lowry and Howard Beverland came back and they were like new signings as well.
“When I first spoke to Oran about signing he said we would be like a new team when they got back and it’s been great to play a small part in helping the club so far.”

“I knew I had to leave to play regular football,” stated Ferry. “Until I signed for Coleraine, I don’t think I have had a run of games since I played at under-16 level and I am loving every minute of it.
“It was frustrating because when I was younger I was playing every week and then when I got into senior football I realised it doesn’t always work like that.
“When I signed I though ‘oh my god, what am I doing here’ because it was so new to me but I have played every game and kept a few clean sheets which is great.”
