Football: Cookstown Olympic beaten by Whiteabbey
The early exchanges were cagey and the first chance fell to Olympic after 12 minutes as Eunan O’Donnell and Danny McElhatton got Ned Johnston away on the right and he played in Matty Hughes but his lob over the keeper went wide.
Whiteabbey hit the post four minutes later and eventually went in front after 30 minutes against the run of play. Olympic created half chances but could not equalize.

Hide AdIn the second half Whiteabbey scored after 49 and 55 minutes to go three up but Olympic rallied and Ned Johnston was unlucky to have a goal disallowed after 63 minutes.
Seven minutes later and Eunan O’Donnell dribbled round three defenders and curled a shot goal wards only to see the Whiteabbey keeper pull off a great save.
Then on 74 minutes Danny McElhatton played in Ned Johnston but his shot came off the post and wide. Then with the last kick of the match Whiteabbey grabbed their fourth.
