Ferguson begins player purge at United
GLENN Ferguson has begun his restructuring of his Ballymena United squad by releasing Shaun Maher and William Bingham.
Dublin-based defender Maher, who joined on a short-term deal in January, and teenage winger Bingham have not been offered new contracts.
Defenders Chris Rodgers and Richard Vauls, each of whom have a year left on their contracts, have been placed on the transfer list.

Hide AdBut another defender, Denver Gage, who made his comeback towards the end of the season after missing a year because of a long-standing groin injury, has been given the chance to prove his fitness during pre-season with the aim of earning a new contract.
