Deluge brings cup tie to halt
Glenavon’s Irish Cup tie at Ballinamallard on Monday night lasted only 32 minutes before being abandoned.
A torrential downpour started at the beginning of the tie and as the water began to lie on the pitch referee Mervyn Smyth had no option but to bring proceedings to a halt for player safety.
Tough on the players and away fans who made the long trip for the game.
