Charity winnerin special match
A spokesperson from Trasna United said, “This is the second year running we have had this match and we hope to make it an annual event.
“The Derrytrasna area is primarily known for gaelic football but there are a lot of good soccer players too and this game makes a nice change for them over the winter off-season. We are also delighted to hand over the money we raise to the Lourdes Group and do our bit for the community

Hide Ad“We also had Paul Magee of Focus Gym sponsor the match. Lurgan Town normally charge for the offered the pitch free as their contribution to the charity.
“The same applies to referee Dan Reid who was only too willing to take charge of the game for free. And not to forget the Lurgan Thistle squad who all contributed greatly both in terms of charitable donations and taking part in a good spirited game”.
Trasna United ran out winners in the end.
The team are now two wins out of two in their charity friendlies.
