Dromore gain promotion
This was confirmed after last week’s victory over Curran leaving this weeks game against Whitehead just a matter of playing the fixture.

Rink 3: T Ogle, H Maxwell, H Hylands, D Shanks
Rink 4: D Graham, A Matthews, K Aiken, F Cranney
At the end of the first quarter the seniors were down by four. McCandless was two in the red, SG was three ahead, Shanks didn’t have a good quarter and was trailing by 12 while Cranney had a great start to lead by seven.

Hide AdAt the halfway stage the game was still tight with the seniors in arrears of three. McCandless was three down, SG was eight ahead, Shanks was now six in arrears and Cranney was down two.
At the three quarter stage Whitehead had opened up a big gap of 25. McCandless was now in deep trouble at 19 behind, SG was two to the good, Shanks was still six down with Cranney two in the red.
The seniors had a better last six ends to go down to a defeat of 12. McCandless finished 21 in arrears, SG had a good victory of 12, Shanks went down by eight while Cranney recorded a five shot win.
This is a big week for the midweek team, playing Rathfriland twice this week on Tuesday in a league game and on Wednesday in the final of the Midweek Shield at Banbridge at 5.30pm.
Dromore Bowling Club will be holding their President’s Day on Saturday September 8 at 1.30pm. It is hoped all members will attend.
