Silva smashes double hundred
Glendermott’s Roy Silva may have broken a world record on Sunday.
The talented cricketer scored an unbelievable 295 not out during the Waterside men’s Ulster Shield win over Cliftonville, at a sun drenched Rectory.
The Sri Lankan hit an amazing 34 sixes and 11 fours in his innings, as the home side finished with the mammoth total of 462/4 from their 40 overs.
After the game, Silva, whose second 100 runs came off just 27 balls, spoke to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin.
