NW CRICKET: North West Senior Cup Final venue switched
The Tyrone venue hosted the showpiece in 2014 and drew widespread approval from players and spectators alike for the way they handled the occasion.
A spokesman for the Union said that it had been a very difficult decision this year given that a total of four venues were considered by the panel.

“The Union is in advanced talks with a new sponsor for the competition after Danske Bank withdrew at the end of 2015. The Board of Control feels that this is a very important season in the competition’s recent history.
“All of the grounds considered this time will get their chance to stage a senior final at some point in the coming seasons.”
The Union spokesman also confirmed that this year’s T20 finals day would be held at Beechgrove.

Beechgrove is obviously another venue that needs to be in the mix for these types of events and the Union remains keen to encourage our clubs to invest in their grounds and facilities.
“The Qualifying 1, 2, 3 and 4 finals will be held at Bready, Ballyspallen, Ardmore and the Rectory respectively.”
