Convincing win for Seconds
Right from the start Ballymena took the game to the home side and were threatening to totally overrun the home side.
In the third minute Rory Drysdale put over a penalty to give the Braid men an early lead. Ballymena kept up the pressure but the home side defended gallantly until the 15th minute when Drysdale was successful with another penalty.

Hide AdIt seemed as though this was the Drysdale show when he scored and converted a try in the 35th minute to make the half time score 13 points to nil.
Ballymena continued to dominate and tries from Lewis Anderson and Darren Montgomery, both converted by Drysdale, put Ballymena out of reach at 27 points to nil. Then when Johnny Wells scored the final try and Drysdale converted again it was all over.
This was a very good performance by the seconds considering that the firsts had called on the services of some of their regular players.
Coach Johnny Wells had a brilliant game at fly half and under 19 players Lewis Anderson and William Knox showed that the club has a wealth of talent in the junior ranks. However Rory Drysdale stole the show with his 19 points.
