Charity rugby match proves huge success
A charity rugby match for Macmillan Cancer Support, hosted by Ballymena Rugby Club, proved a huge success last week.
The fixture, which featured Cambridge House Grammar School’s 2010 Medallion XV and a Ballymena Fourth XV ‘Select’ side had been organised to recognise local man Kieran Bowes, a member of the Cmabridge House squad of 2010, who has undergone treatment for cancer.
An exciting game saw the club side edge out the school panel by 27 points to 26, while also raising valuable funds for the charity’s ongoing work.
