Bowls open day
City of Derry Bowling Club, will be holding it’s annual Open Day, this Saturday at Lisnagelvin Bowling Green at 1.30pm.
Vice President Charles McDaid believes the sport is something both men and women should take up, no matter what age they are. “Mr Joe Grimes introduced me to bowls and I have to admit I was hooked on day one. My wife always says Joe did me a great favour,” stated McDaid.

Hide AdThe Waterside club has three teams, City of Derry Bowling Team A & B and Lisnagelvin Bowling Club, while Brooke Park Bowling Club are also going from strength to strength, in fact member Mr Michael Fahy is President of Northern Ireland Provincial Bowling Association this year.
So no matter your age, both men and women have a great opportunity of taking up a new sport this weekend at Lisnagelvin Bowling Green.
