Work underway on villages’ MUGA pitch
Mr Frew commended Ballymena Borough Council for the work done to ensure funding was secured through the Rural development programme for the new sports facility which should be completed in the New Year.
He said: “It’s great to see the machinery on site and the work commenced. My constituents in Kells & Connor have been waiting a long time for investment of this scale and some had got to the point were they believed it would never happened.

“I would also commend the local community for having the patience and commitment to see it through to this point,” said the MLA who made a surprise visit on Tuesday night to the local youth football club on their first meeting after the summer break.
“The Cougars are going from strength to strength and its a credit to the volunteers and organisers. This facility will make their task much easier,” said Mr Frew.
