Women cut from cars after serious crash in Toome
Firefighters from two Magherafelt crews had to cut the women from their cars following the crash, just before 5pm on December 22.
A statement from NIFRS said: “Two women were released from cars after a collision on the Aughrim Road at Toomebridge. “Cutters and spreaders were used by crews from Magherafelt to free the casualties.”

Hide AdAn ambulance also attended the scene and both casualties were taken to hospital.
A police spokesperson added: “Shortly before 5pm on Tuesday, December 22 Police received a report of a two vehicle RTC on the Aughrim Road, Magherafelt.
“The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.”
