Walled toon theme for festival
Carrickfergus is to host a joint celebration of its historic walls and Ulster-Scots heritage.
The Scotch Quarter Festival incorporating Walled Towns Day programme will run August 16 - 17.
Scotch Quarter is the venue for an afternoon of live music, cookery demonstrations, food, highland dancing and children’s entertainment.

Hide AdCarrick is one of only two walled towns in Northern Ireland and on the Sunday, re-enactors, historical vignettes and tours will combine to bring the history of the area to life.
The festival will run 12.00pm - 5.00pm daily.
