TUV hit back at DUP on ‘vote splitting’ claims
TUV council candidates Roy Ferguson (Lurgan), Paul Coleman (Portadown) and Samuel Morrison (Lagan River) have refuted claims of vote splitting.
In a joint statement they said: “Remarks by numerous DUP spokespeople in recent days about ‘vote splitting’ are disingenuous in the extreme.
“You cannot split the vote in a Proportional Representation (PR) election as long as people transfer down the Unionist ticket. TUV is making it clear in all its literature that after voting 1 TUV its supporters should transfer to other pro-Union candidates.
“This message is very important if Unionists are to maximize their vote.”
