Special award for city's veteran road safety campaigner
Albert Smallwoods received a special award from the Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Alderman Hilary McClintock.
The Waterside man, who is now in his 52nd year of membership of the Foyle and District Road Safety Committee, is the only surviving member of the city’s first road safety committee, which was established in the mid-sixties.
