Slowest cyclist is the winner in Ballinderry
The principle of the Slow Cycle is simple: he/she who loses, wins. The winner of the Slow Cycle Race is the person who crosses the finish line in the longest time, proving definitively that slow and steady really does win the race.
Participants are set to enjoy an event that requires a slightly lower gear than usually experienced by Mid Ulster cyclists.

Hide AdPaul Mallon, Coordinator of the Race said: ‘We anticipate that a large number of cyclists of all abilities will be out in force to show off their poise, skill and style. They will need to demonstrate fine balance and a degree of nerve”
Participants can try as many times as they like to travel 20 metres along a set course as slowly as possible without putting their foot down, leaving their lane or stopping completely. The rider with the slowest time of the day wins the prize sponsored by Cicli Sport, Moneymore, and the adoration of their cycling brethren.
The Slow Cycle Race will start at 12 noon and is open to all ages from 2 to 102
Bring your own bike along to Compete or contact Paul or Sean beforehand and we may be able to fit you out.
