Schools celebrate Shakespeare
Students from the local colleges joined 13,000 young people in the UK's largest youth drama project, aimed at empowering and developing a sense of self-worth among students from all backgrounds and abilities.
Foyle MP Mark Durkan said: "I congratulate all of those involved in this project. It is great to see young people and teachers from Oakgrove and Foyle & Londonderry grasping the opportunity to take part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival.

"I congratulate both schools on their impressive achievements. Through working towards these performances the young people have taken on a significant challenge, and their resulting self-confidence and pride is well justified.
"They have also learnt self-discipline and a can-do attitude which will take them far. Indeed, I wish my own experience of Shakespeare at school had been as engaging and exciting as this."
