“Our beaches are a significant tourist attraction and the Seaside Awards are a signpost to the public of excellent environmental standards.”
“With our notoriously fickle weather throwing up cooler weather as well as hot sunny days the message from these awards is that there is plenty to see and do around the Antrim coast no matter what the forecast, and our award-winning beaches make the ideal starting point for a day out.”
Beaches which receive the NI Seaside Award are considered to offer the highest standard of visitor facilities and require goodwater quality. Dogs are allowed on most Seaside Award beaches as long as they are kept on leads.
Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful is the environmental charity which administers the awards locally.
