Preparations heating up for Cookstown man’s cooker push
The charity cooker push will travel through 20 towns in Northern Ireland and aims to raise £70,000 for both Action MS and Saint Vincent DePaul charities from June 10 to June 14.
The event will involve pushing a custom made Stanley cooker a distance of 40 miles across 20 Towns province-wide.

Hide AdThe cooker will be pushed by Des Keenan and will cover the following route: Tuesday 10th June: Omagh, Strabane, Derry, Limavady• Wednesday 11th June: Coleraine, Portrush, Portstewart , Bushmills.; Thursday 12tJune: Ballycastle, , Ballymena, Ballymoney Portglenone , Banbridge; Friday 13th June: Lisburn, Newry, Armagh, Dungannon, Magherafelt and Maghera; Saturday 14th June: Moneymore and Cookstown.

Members and volunteers from both of the charities will be collecting donations in all towns.
Des is a veteran fundraiser and in 2004 completed a 200 mile walk across Northern Ireland raising £60,000 for a mobile home for MS suffers and their families in Portstewart.
