Local housing office did a good job in crisis - O’Dowd
Following the meeting the Sinn Féin MLA confirmed some people were still out of their homes as a result of structural damage brought about by the icy conditions, although the vast majority of maintenance issues had now been dealt with.
“The repairs to ceilings and other structural damage should be completed by the end of the month and the management and staff of the Banbridge Area Office deserve credit for the commitment they showed in the aftermath of the thaw, with many of them forgoing holidays in order to deal directly with the crisis,” he said.
The MLA said the Executive was currently preparing reports on the crisis.
