Drive-in services success at Whitehead

The church started the drive-in service idea a few weeks ago as a step closer to physically being together for weekly worship.
Spokesman Philip Boyd said: “As a church we miss being together to worship but want to acknowledge our love for our community by taking their health and risk seriously,”

Hide AdHe said that the church starts at 11.15am with prayer and praise.
“We read a passage from the Bible and the speakers then encourages the congregation with applications from the passage,” he said.
The current theme, he added, is from 1st and 2nd Chronicles on the challenge of tough times and how Christ remains with his flock through difficult days.
The services aim to continue this Sunday, February 21 and details are posted on the Whitehead Today facebook and other sites, including hymn sheets which people can print to bring along with them.
