In defence of Padraig McShane
Councillor Blaney highlights his good work on the issue then embarks on a childish attack on a fellow Councillor, Padraig McShane. Councillor Blaney suggests he is only "jumping on the bandwagon."
Allow me Councillor Blaney to state that I requested a meeting with Councillor McShane following his election to Moyle. I took the decision following similar requests to other Councillors which were not acted upon.

Hide AdPadraig simply pointed out that it was a requirement of Roads Service to complete the roads if the developer failed to do so. He informed me that he would remind them of their statutory requirements and kept me informed of the process over the last couple of years. He also told me of a meeting he had at Stormont with Connor Murphy were he raised several roads issues including Leyland Farm.
He said because of the dangerous nature of the road and indeed the time that had lapsed without completion, the Minister would ensure to investigate and request completion. That was only a few months ago.
I should also point out that when Councillor McShane was updating myself he pointed out that all the Councillors were in support of the residents of Leyland Farm, mentioning Councillor Blaney in particular.
As a resident of Leyland Farm I would like to thank anyone who ensured the completion of this road. Because his ego seems to require stimulation, allow me to thank Councillor Blaney first and foremost for advancing this worthwhile cause.
