Officer hadto leap tosafety atroadblock
A police officer had to jump to avoid being stuck by a car after a 29-year-old man ran a road block near Victoria Bridge, it’s been reported.
The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following the incident in which a car failed to stop for police outside the County Tyrone village.
In the early hours of Saturday (August 17), officers signalled a car to stop at Fyfin Road and an officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck.
Subsequently, a man from the Castlederg area was arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries.
