Mr Pollock and colleagues plus representatives of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council attended the presentation ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Doreen Muskett MBE, chair of the NIAC said: “Congratulations to Whitehead on their achievement. The Best Kept Awards have been existence since 1957 and are now very firmly established as one of the ultimate accolades for towns and villages across Northern Ireland, so the people of Whitehead should be rightly proud.”
It is a further accolade for the seaside town which was second in the small town category and winner of the Community Rail Halt Award at Translink Ulster in Bloom 2015.
