A new speed limit in Gamblestown has been welcomed - with the introduction of a 40mph limit.
DUP MLA Stephen Moutray said, “I am delighted after much lobbying that the legislation is now in place for the 40mph speed limit through Gamblestown. Originally this was a 60mph area and residents had indicated their concerns to a number of our elected representatives about the speed and the safety implications.
“I trust it will slow the traffic significantly and create a much safer area. I would like to thank Road Service for their assistance and Cllr Baxter for his assistance.”
