'˜Musical Micks' at Thiepval gala
The black tie event will be held on Wednesday June 29 at 7.30pm and the band of the Irlsh Guards, who are nicknamed ‘the Micks’, will be making a special appearance on the night.
The evening is not only designed to raise funds for soldiers, veterans and families in times of hardship, but also to reward the charity’s top fundraisers with certificates of commendation.

This is the first time band of the Irish Guards have visited Northern Ireland since 2012, when over £13,000 was raised for The army Benevolent Fund, The Soldier’s Charity.
The Band of the Irish Guard’s Director of Music, Bruce Miller, said: “We are really looking forward to our visit to Northern Ireland.
“We are particularly pleased to support this fantastic charity and I encourage everyone from the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council area to come along and see us perform.”

Whilst in Northern Ireland, the band of the Irish Guards will also be performing a Somme commemorative comcert at Alexandra Presbyterian Church in Belfast on Tuesday June 28.
