More volunteers needed for Carrick High Street shop
Trading for over 30 years, the charity outlet has long been a popular fixture in the retail heart of the town.
Shop manager Peter Hopper said: “Volunteering at a Barnardo’s shop can make a big difference to your life. We are a small but very friendly team and volunteering provides the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and have some fun, as well as supporting Barnardo’s to help turn children’s lives around.

Barnardo’s depends on the income from its shops to support its work with young people across Northern Ireland who are less-advantaged and vulnerable.
It runs Horizon Sure Start based at Sunnylands Primary School and also provides counselling for children who have been bereaved and trains professionals to be aware for the signs of child sexual exploitation.
