Minister hears Friends of Larne Lough presentation
The River Basin District Management Plans are key instruments in the task of bringing Northern Ireland's loughs and the streams, rivers and wetlands which feed into them back to a high water quality standard.
FOLL set out to highlight progress to date to the minister and guests at the Belfast Harbour Commission.

Hide AdJohn Anderson, FOLL chair, said: “We represented the catchment stakeholder groups across Northern Ireland and through our long experience with the issues affecting Larne Lough we were able to highlight to the minister and guests the progress the stakeholder groups have made through partnership with Northern Ireland Environment Agency staff, and some important areas which still need work, such as land use planning and the ongoing need for proper resourcing.“
