Merry, Merry 2016
The Council has already committed funding of £120,500 to deliver a number of events and activities that will celebrate the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon borough’s status as the Food Heartland of Northern Ireland.
Established through the collaboration of the council and local agri-food and drink businesses, the ‘Food Heartland’ brand will seek to promote and connect key players in the agri-food sector.

“Growing the local economy of the Borough is the council’s number one priority and we recognise the importance of the agri-food sector. Innovation, collaboration and exporting will be at the heart of making this ambition reality.”
Applications for funding to participate in the NI Year of Food and Drink will be assessed in January, with approvals granted the following month. The Council has also set aside an additional £77,000 to meet the shortfall if applications are unsuccessful.
Now seems the right time to raise our plates and glasses to a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
