Markethill set for 22nd Fair Day

The event, which is organised by Markethill Horse & Pony Driving Club Ltd, is in its 22nd year and is already shaping up to be a jam-packed day of activity.
At the monthly meeting of Markethill Horse & Pony Driving Club Ltd members heard the event will open with a parade of horse-drawn vehicles, period costumes from the 1900s, and a host of entertainment.

Hide AdThe Indians Showband will be on the main stage from 3 to 5pm, while John Glenn and The Stranglers will be outside the Victoria Bar, and Stephen Beckett will provide music in Keady Street.
The Fair will feature a vehicle parade of tractors, cars, motor bikes and lorries; harness making; timber work; a pig on the spit; Irish dancing; patchwork quilting; horses, ponies and donkeys; and an array of tasty food.
