Maghera woman raising funds to change life for her disabled grand-daughter
Neave is nearly four years old and after a traumatic birth has quadriplegic, spastic, cerebral palsy.
Her disability means she can’t co-ordinate her arms or legs, has poor head control and requires 24 hour care.

Hide AdViolet wants to raise as much money as possible to help with adaptations to her daughter, Maxine’s, house near Blackburn in Lancashire. These essential adaptations will give Neave safe ground floor living accommodation including a wet room with specialist bath and hoists to lift Neave from her bed to her wheelchair or the bath.
Neave cannot sit unassisted, talk, walk or crawl and responds fantastically to sensory lights and equipment which relaxes her when she spasms.
The more money raised the more sensory features can be incorporated into the build.
Violet said “I was over seeing Neave this year and saw first hand how my daughter and the family struggle with the constant lifting of Neave.

Hide AdAs Neave is getting bigger it is increasingly dangerous for her to be carried up and down the stairs and bath times are very difficult in a standard bath.
The only safe long term solution is specialist living space for Neave on the ground floor so I’m hoping plenty of people will come to our coffee morning to contribute as much as possible to making the lives of Neave, Maxine and the family as safe and comfortable as possible”
