Loreto pupils help needy with hampers
The pupils by collected and assembled Christmas hampers, to be distributed to local families in need of some assistance at this time of year.
Just under thirty large hampers were collected, assembled and wrapped by the group, which is composed of some very public-spririted senior students, under the leadership of Religious Education teacher Mr Kevin Conroy.

Hide AdThese hampers were presented to representatives from the Society of St Vincent de Paul from St John’s and St Malachy’s parishes, Coleraine, who received them with great enthusiasm and appreciation on behalf of the families to whom they will be donated.
Loreto principal Michael James, paid tribute to the students and Mr Conroy for their consideration and generosity in encouraging students from throughout the school to donate to this excellent cause.
Meanwhile Year 12 choir members, accompanied on keyboard by Rachel Kelly (Year 13) and accompanied by teachers Mrs Annie Sharkey and Ms Julie Wilson, spent the afternoon entertaining the residents of Seabank Residential Home in Portstewart with a lively and mixed repertoire.
