Local MPs meet with PM at Downing Street
Commenting afterwards, Dr McCrea said that he and his colleagues had used the private meeting to raise “a number of important issues” with Mr Cameron.
“We believe it is imperative that the views of our constituents are heard at the very heart of government, and the informal nature of our meeting allowed this to be done in an effective and professional manner. I assure my constituents that I take every opportunity afforded to me to let the Prime Minister know the concerns of the people of South Antrim, and believe that our contacts with politicians from both the two major parties at Westminster allows the authentic voice of traditional unionism to be heard.”

The issues that impact upon the daily lives of our constituents that emanate from Westminster legislation will be the focus of our working relationship with government and the opposition alike. I am convinced that such contacts are good for Northern Ireland.”
