Letter bomb at Lisburn sorting office was viable
The letter bomb found at Lisburn’s Royal Mail sorting office this morning was a viable device, it has been confirmed.
Army technical officers were tasked to the office in Linenhall Street shortly after 9am this morning (Friday) following the discovery of a suspect package.
It is understood the package was addressed to Magheraberry Prison.

Hide AdAnother letter bomb had previously been found at Londonderry’s main sorting office on Thursday.
Linenhall Street was closed between Bridge Street and Market Street following the discovery at 9.10am on Friday morning.
