Laurencetown man in court on drugs charges
Colin Brady, Churchview Close, Laurencetown, admitted possession of a class B drug, cannabis, on August 27 last year.
He was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that a small quantity, 11mg, was found during a search of his home.
He told police he did not know what the substance was.

Hide AdA solicitor representing Brady said he previously had difficulties with drugs and alcohol but was now receiving treatment.
Brady had received a suspended sentence in July last year for breach of a community ordered and the solicitor asked the judge not to activate the sentence.
He said that the amount of cannabis found was just enough for one 20th of a cigarette.
Imposing the fine Deputy District Judge Laura Ievers said the suspended sentence was for matters of a different nature.
